Summary

HealthSure’s Employee Benefits Associate Account Manager has responsibility in the delivery of our insurance products as well as maintaining customer and carrier relationships. This person should be able to handle multiple tasks and support the service team in the accurate and professional delivery of our insurance programs. They should be able to think holistically to foresee potential issues as well as support the sales team in exploration and expansion through growth opportunities. Most importantly, this person must have demonstrated a proven commitment to service.

Essential Duties and Responsabilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Work with the Employee Benefit team to ensure timely and accurate completion of the various service plans
  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with Clients, Carriers and Producers
  • Manage a book of business consisting of clients with $10,000 and less in revenues
  • Support to Account Executive by: processing add/terms, entry into Agency Management system, RFPs and RFIs, creating and processing carrier termination letters, reaching out to carriers and clients as needed for information, review proposals and spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Clearly document activity in agency management system
  • Work with the Employee Benefits Team to identify areas in the organization where efficiencies can be achieved (workflows, technology, etc)
  • Work with the Employee Benefits Team to improve customer service based on survey results and customer requests
  • Provide backup support to Account Executive, as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of all medical and ancillary insurance products, usages and markets
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Above average analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • The desire and willingness to continue to grow and learn
  • Integrity, drive, ambition and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 Year College degree
  • 3 years, licensed Employee Benefits account management experience
  • Knowledge of all medical and ancillary insurance products, usages and markets

Systems

Thorough command and application of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to learn and use industry specific software.
